My new podcast
Wake Up Leaders Podcast is hosted by me, Hansa Raghav. I am an experienced training and development leader who has worked in the Corporate world for over 10 years with some of the biggest corporations in the world. I am hoping that I provide my insights on leadership and communication skills training to assist trainers, managers, coaches, consultants and experts to be able to add value to their skills and increase their productivity and profitability :)

To be honest, the first time I did the podcast I was SHAKING. I know this is probably a reaction that everyone goes through. It was a little strange to me because I have done 100’s of presentations in front of business leaders and managers and I was getting nervous talking into a microphone.
I guess the reason could also be that I was now talking to probably millions of listeners around the world who might tune in. So I wanted to be professional but also being me. I didn’t want to sound robotic. Squarespace had this line that I read which was
‘Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.
Somehow I wanted to leave those words in my post today. Its really true isnt it. We are so busy trying to sound perfect, or trying very hard to be professional that we forget to be ourselves. Being ourselves is what the customers want and listeners are waiting for. Not some robotic, scripted same old points that they have heard before.
So I tried to do just that be myself. So I hope that you like it and Im still in the learning phase and hope that it is still something people enjoy listening to. I kept telling myself what I read on square space (Dont worry this isnt a sponsored post to promote Square space, I just really liked the quotes)
Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
