WORK BURNOUT + MY STORY
In my new HLS Podcast episode, I go into a lot of detail about my own work burnout experience and here is what I share.
Feeling better about yourself and becoming stronger are interlinked processes. Incorporating habits that surprise you and improve your well-being can lead to significant changes. From both a physical and mental perspective, I noticed profound improvements in my life. Initially, I struggled with not getting enough sleep. However, after experiencing burnout, I began prioritizing my sleep, ensuring I got at least seven to eight hours of rest every night. This change dramatically improved my functioning. I felt more energetic, active, and efficient. The positive impact on my daily life was undeniable.
Another crucial technique I've adopted is reading leadership books and participating in numerous leadership training programs. I've been certified in over 35 leadership courses from some of the biggest companies, learning invaluable techniques, particularly in time management. The principles I follow are inspired by renowned experts, and I offer free training sessions to share this knowledge. My goal is to reach as many people as possible, as I believe in the importance of lending a helping hand and sharing valuable experiences.

For those interested, I provide a free time management training on Thinkific, accessible through my website, blog, and podcast. This training is designed to help you invest time in yourself and boost your energy, which is critical for handling burnout. Managing and delegating workload is another essential aspect. Prioritizing tasks by distinguishing between urgent and important activities is crucial. This method allows you to focus on significant projects and complete them more efficiently. In my training, I introduce a unique technique called the "Color Box Method," which helps you prioritize your workload effectively. You can find more details about this on my YouTube channel, linked on my website.

Taking regular breaks and setting personal and professional goals are also vital. Having clear goals, such as learning a new skill within a specific timeframe, can provide direction and motivation. Identify the resources you need, whether it's an online course, a workshop, or a conference, and connect with knowledgeable individuals in your network or on social media to gain insights. If you find yourself unable to manage burnout despite trying various techniques, don't hesitate to seek help. Whether from a family member, friend, or professional, reaching out for support is essential. We often respond with "I'm good" when asked how we are, even during tough times. It's important to acknowledge when we need help and take steps to get the support we need.
